About
The Bible:
We believe the Bible, as spoken in the original
language, is without flaw or error. Therefore,
all doctrine and interpretation must be dedicated
to and consistent with the original languages
as interpreted in their time. All sixty-six books
of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired
Word of God and the complete, total, and final
revelation of His will for the salvation of men.
The Bible in its entirety is the Divine and final
authority on all matters of Christian faith and
practice.
About
God: We believe in one
God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing
in the corporate Godhead revealed as the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This eternal Godhead
is self-existing, all knowing, and ever present.
This Godhead is the sovereign creator of the universe,
creating all that exists out of nothing.
About
Jesus: We believe that
Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary and was the only begotten
Son of God. Jesus was fully human and was tempted
in every way that we are—yet He did not give way
to sin. Because Jesus lived a sinless life, He
became the perfect sacrifice for the atonement
of every person’s sin. Through His death on the
cross, He established the New Covenant; thus nailing
all Law with its restrictions and regulations
to the cross.
In
that one act of obedience—dying on the cross—Jesus
took all of the sins of all mankind
upon Himself. He also took upon Himself all
of God’s wrath for sin. As a result Jesus’ death
on the cross, God’s wrath for sin has been appeased,
and the covenant of God’s peace has been established.
Because of His death, complete salvation (forgiveness
of sins; physical emotional, mental healing; and
prosperity) is available to everyone who believes.
Through
Jesus’ resurrection, He conquered sin and defeated
Satan, stripping him of all power and authority
over us. Through Jesus’ ascension into heaven,
He entered into the glory He had with the Father
from the beginning. He began His High Priestly
ministry as the only mediator between God and
man, continually making intercession for us.
About
the Holy Spirit:
We
believe the purpose and intent of the Holy Spirit
is to reveal the Father to man and to glorify
the Son. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to
guide believers into all truth. The Holy Spirit
is the one who will convince the world of righteousness,
sin, and judgment. It is the Holy Spirit who empowers
the believer to live a life consistent with being
a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
About
Salvation:
We believe
that people are saved by grace and through faith
in only the finished work of Jesus.
About
Grace: We believe that
grace is the ability of God to desire and accomplish
His will for our life.
About
the Covenant of Peace:
We
believe that, through the death of Jesus on the
cross, the wrath of God for all sin was
appeased and, therefore, God has established a
Covenant of Peace with all mankind. Any judgment
of sin that is spoken about in the Word of God
is reserved for the end of time, or after man’s
appointed days on this earth.
About
Righteousness:
We believe
that righteousness is a free gift given
to every believer. It is not granted on the basis
of one’s merit, but rather as a result of the
death of Jesus on the cross. It is for this reason
every believer is qualified to experience all
of the promises of God and empowered to live in
righteousness.
About
the Church:
We believe
that the Church is the visible expression of an
invisible God. The Bible calls the church, “…the
Body of Christ and members in particular.” The
head of the Church is Jesus Christ and every member
is directly related and accountable to Him. Each
member of the Church has a personal relationship
with the Holy Spirit and is, therefore, responsible
to look to Him for their guidance and instruction.
It is the role of ministers to support the individual
members in discovering and walking in the guidance
and instruction of the Holy Spirit.
