Rates for Treatment:
Turning Point participates with most major insurance companies, such as TriCare, Medicare, TriCare for Life, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Each company specifies an allowable rate for each available therapy-related service.
In the absence of insurance, our standard self-pay rate for a 45-minute individual psychotherapy session is $140 for Psychologists and the Initial Appointment is $210. Rates for other services are available upon request. Payment is due at the time of service.
Rates for Specialized Services:
Please note that some Specialized Services, such as requests for letters, telephone consultations, completion of military PCS forms, and copies of your records typically are not covered by insurance.
Fees for Specialized Services:
A fee for the Provider's time to produce the requested document or to complete the requested work will be charged for each Specialized Service. The base rate for each Specialized Service Request will be a pro-rated charge at $140 for 45 minutes of the Provider's time.
Fees for Records:
Fees for copies of records are based on the number of pages requested. Please call the office at (850) 243-8086, if you have any questions. Payment of each Specialized Service fee is due at the time of completion and receipt of the requested work. NOTE: Turning Point provides only paper copies or FAX copies of patient records. No digital or electronic records are available.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Cash, check and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express) are accepted for payment. Account payments may be made in person at the office, by phone (850) 243-8086, by CreditCard on File or Online at Make A Payment. Co-payments and deductibles are expected at the time services are rendered.
Initial New Patient Appointments:
If you fail to show for your New Patient Appointment, you will be asked to complete a CreditCard On File form and to complete and submit all New Patient paperwork prior to rescheduling. A second failure to show for a New Patient Appointment will result in an automatic credit card charge for the full price of the missed appointment. Additionally, no future New Patient Appointments will be scheduled until our office has a full understanding of your commitment to starting therapy.
Current Client Appointments:
We ask for your help in using our time efficiently. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment (Failure to Show), you will be charged $50.
If you cancel an appointment without at least 24 hours advance notice, you will be required to pay $35, as a First Late Cancellation Fee. Failure to give a 24-hour cancellation notice for further scheduled appointments will be charged in the following manner:
Second Late Cancellation Fee: $50;
Third Late Cancellation Fee: $65;
Fourth or Beyond Late Cancellation Fee: $80 each.
Typically, if Late Cancellations occur, you must pay your account balance, in full, prior to rescheduling your next appointment. If the Provider has a concern that the client's repeated Late Cancellations indicate a therapeutic problem, that issue will be discussed privately with the client and one's ability to schedule future appointments will be decided by the Provider.
